Cindy McKinney joins The Lutheran Schools Partnership

Cindy McKinney has been named academic excellence coordinator for The Lutheran Schools Partnership. In this role, McKinney will coordinate all efforts related to the Partnership’s strategic imperative to achieve academic excellence among all students within The Lutheran Schools. Cindy Mc Kinney 240x300 McKinney will be a member of the Partnership’s administrator’s council and board of directors academic excellence subcommittee. She’ll also be the coordinator for instructional change and data collection using Teachscape, and her insights and guidance will help in determining the professional-development opportunities offered by the Partnership next year. In addition, McKinney will serve as liaison between the Partnership and Liberating Insight, a Fort Wayne company contracted to provide educational-technology guidance.“I’m looking forward to this exciting and challenging opportunity with The Lutheran Schools Partnership,” McKinney says. “The Partnership is doing some wonderful things to benefit The Lutheran Schools and their students.”McKinney will also continue to serve as a curriculum coach at Lutheran South Unity School, where she supports teachers in their efforts to create learning experiences that are engaging and research-based.A Fort Wayne native, McKinney earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education at Butler University and a master’s degree in counseling from Ball State University. She’s taught and counseled in both public and Lutheran schools and served as a consultant with the Indiana Department of Education.McKinney and her husband, Mitch, a Fort Wayne police officer, have two sons and are members of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Her leisure-time pursuits include reading and music.
