We all are witnessing the "tsunami" of safety information, school closures, talk of "flattening the curve", international images of people in masks, etc. It is hard to keep it all organized and understood.
Today I was reminded of the early passages of Psalm 46:
"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging".
While cases of COVID-19 in our area remains low, it is our responsibility to error on the side of caution and do our part in calming fears and help prevent the spread of this illness. We also recognize that our planned venue, Purdue Fort Wayne, is under a distance learning mandate, so we have decided to move our event to Thursday, September 3. Everything remains the same: same location, same time, same format, same speaker, and we will still award the first Teacher of the year Award.
Let's all pray that these current events are past us by then with the least amount of sickness possible.
